Here is my most recent painting finished today, September 2, 2010:
Ezero 1, 2010, 48″ x 60″, acrylic on canvas
This painting was created using many layers of thin washes of acrylic paint. The goal was to create a minimal image using a complex system. Each layer shows through in one area of the painting or another and at the middle “horizon” line. I’m interested in creating abstract landscapes with planes of color depicting earth and sky. The title for this new idea means lake and plays into the idea of depicting a landscape. But really a landscape can be anything, including or not including a lake.
